Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Thomas Boothroyd made the kick off and thus started the match. Josh Naisbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Flintoff in the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 minutes, Shaun Reading mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horizon and the Alnwick players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Horizon getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Shaun Reading hit a great ball. When Alnwick's Thomas Boothroyd in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Horizon's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Thomas Boothroyd kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Russell Odell. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Damion Foggarty who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Russell Odell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Russell Odell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Boothroyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thomas Boothroyd was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Horizon's Garth Oddy got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game Paddy Glanvill kicked a great long shot which passed Russell Odell straight ahead into the goal, Result 2-0. One couldn't see Paddy Glanvill behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. 28 minutes into the game, Kurt Buckle recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Russell Odell. Kurt Buckle showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Alnwick's zone, Shaun Reading stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josh Naisbitt came out of the goal and Shaun Reading tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alnwick's Damion Foggarty got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Russell Odell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Boothroyd in the 34th minute of play. Russell Odell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Boothroyd in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Horizon getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dom Flintoff hit a great ball. Russell Odell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Boothroyd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Damion Foggarty came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Alnwick fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damion Foggarty couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the game, Thomas Boothroyd recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Russell Odell. Thomas Boothroyd showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Horizon's Lenny Maston got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Thomas Boothroyd came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Alnwick fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Boothroyd couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dom Flintoff made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Kurt Buckle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Russell Odell. Horizon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt Buckle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Horizon's Dom Flintoff got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stew Bower's late challenge caught a Horizon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stew Bower helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Alnwick's Stew Bower got a free kick in the 59th minute. Thomas Boothroyd scored 6-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Russell Odell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Horizon's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Boothroyd came free, but Russell Odell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Damion Foggarty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Boothroyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Russell Odell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Bamford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alnwick's Thomas Boothroyd in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Horizon's goalie prevented a goal. Thomas Boothroyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Russell Odell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Russell Odell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damion Foggarty in the 92nd minute of play. Horizon's Russell Odell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Boothroyd in the 93rd minute of play. Russell Odell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Boothroyd in the 96th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damion Foggarty in the 97th minute of play forced Horizon's goalkeeper Russell Odell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alnwick's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
