Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Miles Carroll kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miles Carroll in the 4th minute of play forced Ullesthorpe's goalkeeper Crispin Lane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cringleford FC's Brynn Jewson got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes, Ullesthorpe's Ken Connell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andre Renton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ullesthorpe reached it. After 16 played minutes Ullesthorpe got a freekick which was hit by Alistair Dibb. Hugh Elwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crispin Lane having to interfere. Brynn Jewson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Crispin Lane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Ullesthorpe got a freekick which was hit by Nial Clemence. Crispin Lane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miles Carroll, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Miles Carroll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crispin Lane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Alistair Dibb notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cringleford FC's Andre Renton. Andre Renton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Miles Carroll came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Cringleford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miles Carroll couldn't finish the play. Hugh Elwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Crispin Lane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crispin Lane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles Carroll in the 44th minute of the match. After 47 minutes of play, Cringleford FC's Jonny Bland made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Crispin Lane was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ullesthorpe's Tommy Palmer got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Cringleford FC's Miles Carroll nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Crispin Lane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Ullesthorpe's Junior Kelly got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Miles Carroll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Alistair Dibb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Renton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brynn Jewson during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cringleford FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Brynn Jewson hit a great ball. Alistair Dibb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Andre Renton made a huge save. Hugh Elwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miles Carroll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ullesthorpe's Tommy Palmer got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Tommy Palmer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andre Renton was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Crispin Lane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugh Elwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Miles Carroll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alistair Dibb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Renton having to interfere. After 93 minutes of play, Cringleford FC's Miles Carroll made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Crispin Lane was left in no man's land by his defense there! Huey Davison hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ullesthorpe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cringleford FC.
