Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute Leyton Orient were awarded a corner. Kristian Middleton went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Kristian Middleton got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivan Butt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Sacha Radcliffe came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Leyton Orient fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sacha Radcliffe couldn't finish the play. If Alec Callery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giles Laverack during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Giles Laverack hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Lucas Jump took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ron Walters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes Leyton Orient got a freekick which was hit by Toni Cancino. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Ron Walters took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lucas Jump to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Junior Wilkins got free with Lucas Jump in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Sacha Radcliffe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alec Callery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Ron Walters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Jump saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leyton Orient's Alec Callery got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alec Callery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ivan Butt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Toni Cancino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd match minute, Leyton Orient was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alec Callery to maneuver through the defense. Kristian Middleton was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Beeston getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ron Walters hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Alec Callery reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivan Butt. The goal made the score 2-1. Ron Walters struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Lucas Jump didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beeston. If Alec Callery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leyton Orient's Sacha Radcliffe got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Beeston got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Wardill. In the 76th minute Ron Walters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Jump saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Junior Wilkins notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Leyton Orient's Lucas Jump. Lucas Jump was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ivan Butt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Cancino in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 minutes of play Beeston's Giles Laverack was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Leyton Orient booed when Beeston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giles Laverack didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristian Middleton came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ivan Butt could save by the left post. When Toni Cancino came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Leyton Orient fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Cancino couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the match, Leyton Orient's Kristian Middleton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Butt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Toni Cancino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Beeston support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
