In the 14th match minute, Ilfracombe AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerome Porter to maneuver through the defense. If Kevin Gascoigne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Gascoigne in the 21st minute of play forced Timperley United's goalkeeper Steven Carey-Bertram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerome Porter in the 23rd minute of play. Benjamin Tuck took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steven Carey-Bertram. Steven Carey-Bertram dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Timperley United from getting a goal against them. Ilfracombe AFC's Caleb Lancaster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alastair Noble in the 42nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tyler Kellaway during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Timperley United booed when Ilfracombe AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyler Kellaway didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Jerome Porter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Kevin Gascoigne made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Jerome Porter notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram. Steven Carey-Bertram was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 59 minutes into the match, Ilfracombe AFC's Kevin Gascoigne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steven Carey-Bertram narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Caleb Lancaster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Longstaff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Benjamin Tuck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilfracombe AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Tuck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steven Carey-Bertram breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, Kevin Gascoigne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Steven Carey-Bertram was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Steven Carey-Bertram came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Ilfracombe AFC's Benjamin Tuck. But to his dismay, Benjamin Tuck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After a rather tough play, Ilfracombe AFC's Zackary Broom got a free kick in the 81st minute. Alan Longstaff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Caleb Lancaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Longstaff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caleb Lancaster having to interfere. Timperley United were furious when Leon Cross was red carded, 89 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Timperley United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ilfracombe AFC:s goal.
