The referee ignored Timperley United's protests and gave Alastair Noble a yellow card for diving instead. Alan Longstaff struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Oliver Bow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timperley United. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Omega United's goalkeeper Oliver Bow, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oliver Bow stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Noble's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alan Longstaff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Omega United's Martyn Ainsworth got a free kick in the 56th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Alastair Noble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Timperley United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alastair Noble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alan Longstaff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Steven Carey-Bertram took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Gamble, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steven Carey-Bertram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Gamble, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Timperley United's Alan Longstaff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliver Bow narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Alfie Rush had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steven Carey-Bertram. Timperley United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfie Rush was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Oliver Bow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Longstaff, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Alastair Noble came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Timperley United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alastair Noble couldn't finish the play. After having played for 95 minutes, Alan Longstaff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Timperley United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Longstaff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Omega United were victorious despite being under pressure from Timperley United for much of the match.
