Sam Moore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tyler Creighton went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tyler Creighton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Sam Moore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Nantwich Town FC's Dion Foreman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 19th minute Tyler Creighton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sam Moore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 played minutes Wadebridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Liam Broadbent. In the 23rd minute, Aaron Conway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tyler Creighton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Moore having to interfere. Sam Moore came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Wadebridge AFC's Alfie Chappell. But to his dismay, Alfie Chappell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Tyler Creighton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jay Cornish's late challenge caught a Nantwich Town FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jay Cornish helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Wadebridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jay Cornish. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Wadebridge AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Craig Barber came free, but Richard Goodwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jay Cornish was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Nantwich Town FC booed when Wadebridge AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jay Cornish didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tyler Creighton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Sam Moore skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Nantwich Town FC's Sam Moore got control of the ball when Paul Tyrell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute Blair Storry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Goodwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfie Chappell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Sam Moore when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sam Moore made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Tyler Creighton sent off a good shot on target. Paul Tyrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Sam Moore made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Conway during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Aaron Conway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Goodwick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graeme Oldham, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Tyler Creighton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wadebridge AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyler Creighton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
