Spectators: 6100 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Simon Gray kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Stuart Bullard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henry Tully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dominik Buxton charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dominik Buxton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Knight Templars booed when Surbiton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Buxton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerry Browning charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerry Browning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Frank Corbridge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stuart Bullard's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Surbiton AFC's Stuart Bullard got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Gray in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Freddie Pearson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Knight Templars's Henry Tully slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Freddie Pearson. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Frank Corbridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Dearden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Stuart Bullard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Corbridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sacha Waite fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knight Templars's protests and gave Sacha Waite a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Knight Templars's Sacha Waite got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Joshua Thompson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Surbiton AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 39th match minute, Surbiton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Buxton to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Jerry Browning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Thompson in the 47th minute of play forced Knight Templars's goalkeeper Frank Corbridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stuart Bullard to make the kick off. If Stuart Bullard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute Stuart Bullard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Corbridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joshua Thompson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Surbiton AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alan Titmus hit a great ball. Freddie Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Gray in the 57th minute of the match. Stuart Bullard might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Corbridge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stuart Bullard ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, Knight Templars's goal looked a bit too open when Stuart Bullard came free, but Frank Corbridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 minutes, Alan Titmus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Surbiton AFC and the Knight Templars players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alan Titmus kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Surbiton AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joshua Thompson hit a great ball. When Simon Gray came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Knight Templars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Gray couldn't finish the play. Frank Corbridge made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Dominik Buxton sent off a good shot on target. Alan Titmus got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Alan Titmus kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Simon Gray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Ivan Dearden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Corbridge came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Surbiton AFC's Ivan Dearden. But to his dismay, Ivan Dearden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Simon Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Knight Templars booed when Surbiton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Thompson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Knight Templars's Frank Corbridge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Knight Templars from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Surbiton AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
