After a defensive mix-up in Nantwich Town FC's zone, Peter Beckett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sam Moore came out of the goal and Peter Beckett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blair Storry in the 64th minute of play forced Bedford AFC's goalkeeper Ruben Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glenn Dransfield kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Sam Moore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Holstead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 76 minutes, Craig Barber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nantwich Town FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Craig Barber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Becketts short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Sam Moore to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sam Moore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Holstead in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Glenn Dransfield was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bedford AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nantwich Town FC the free kick.
