Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stuart Bullard started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Iain Bambrook came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Score Strikers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iain Bambrook couldn't finish the play. Iain Bambrook's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Freddie Pearson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 9 played minutes Surbiton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Buxton. Thomas Toovey, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Kris Laurie fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Surbiton AFC's protests and gave Kris Laurie a yellow card for diving instead. Kris Laurie hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Freddie Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Howard Billington in the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Surbiton AFC's Kris Laurie got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Surbiton AFC's zone, Iain Bambrook stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie Pearson came out of the goal and Iain Bambrook tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, Surbiton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Buxton to maneuver through the defense. Howard Billington might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddie Pearson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Howard Billington ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joshua Thompson during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Surbiton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Thompson. In the 29th minute Howard Billington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ivan Dearden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Bishop was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iain Bambrook got free with Freddie Pearson in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Bishop came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Surbiton AFC's Ivan Dearden. But to his dismay, Ivan Dearden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Howard Billington in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddie Pearson saved Surbiton AFC from getting behind. Iain Bambrook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Freddie Pearson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Surbiton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Buxton. After a defensive mix-up in Surbiton AFC's zone, Howard Billington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie Pearson came out of the goal and Howard Billington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Dearden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Bishop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Buxton in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Howard Billington to strike the kick off in the second half. Tommy Bishop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Bullard in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Surbiton AFC booed when Score Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brynn Mabbutt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddie Pearson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iain Bambrook, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Score Strikers's Howard Billington nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddie Pearson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, Surbiton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Iain Bambrook came free, but Freddie Pearson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iain Bambrook struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Freddie Pearson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Score Strikers. If Howard Billington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Howard Billington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ivan Dearden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stuart Bullard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerry Pascoe kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Freddie Pearson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iain Bambrook, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Iain Bambrook managed to get in a good position for a shot. Score Strikers's supporters rose to their feet, but Iain Bambrook was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddie Pearson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
