Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lance Hedley got the match started through his kick off. Felix Dolby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jools Whittingham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richmond FC's Jools Whittingham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Dolby in the 8th minute of play. Pierce Curtis made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Henry Bentham sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the match, Henry Bentham dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pierce Curtis, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Kinsella Athletic's goalkeeper Pierce Curtis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bradley Dingle. After a rather tough play, Kinsella Athletic's Leigh Welch got a free kick in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Richmond FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Dolby came free, but Jools Whittingham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Bradley Dingle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pierce Curtis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Jon Clough came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Kinsella Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Clough couldn't finish the play. Jon Clough struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jools Whittingham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kinsella Athletic. 37 minutes into the game, Kinsella Athletic's Jon Clough nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jools Whittingham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of Kinsella Athletic booed when Richmond FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Hedley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Lance Hedley fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Pierce Curtis. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jon Clough to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lance Hedley in the 56th minute of play forced Kinsella Athletic's goalkeeper Pierce Curtis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Richmond FC's Bradley Dingle in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kinsella Athletic's goalie prevented a goal. In the 65th minute, Luke Brown hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Jon Clough fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jools Whittingham, passed just outside the right post. If Felix Dolby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradley Dingle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierce Curtis having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Kinsella Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Bradley Dingle came free, but Pierce Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bradley Dingle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierce Curtis having to interfere. Lance Hedley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Pierce Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richmond FC's Jeffrey Currie got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bradley Dingle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierce Curtis having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Richmond FC had played much better football throughout.
