In the 9thth minute of the game Jordi Morera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Bedford's Rory Wilberforce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rory Wilberforce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Jordi Morera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rory Wilberforce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Den Bramble hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jordi Morera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rory Wilberforce having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Carolo Aguilar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rory Wilberforce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vedat Dicle made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Jasper Dickner sent off a good shot on target. If Jordi Morera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carolo Aguilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, 1878 Red Devils United's Jordi Morera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rory Wilberforce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Nath Crabtree was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1878 Red Devils United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Bedford the free kick. The wind increased when Jordi Morera made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damon Forbes in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vedat Dicle saved 1878 Red Devils United from getting behind. Jasper Dickner's late challenge caught a 1878 Red Devils United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jasper Dickner helped the player get up and apologised. Jordi Morera made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 54thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Rory Wilberforce would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. With his leg Rory Wilberforce managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when 1878 Red Devils United's Jordi Morera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 63rd minute, Jordi Morera made a precise shot to the right of Rory Wilberforce. AFC Bedford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, AFC Bedford's Den Bramble got a free kick in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Carolo Aguilar took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Rory Wilberforce to make any attempt to save it. If Jasper Dickner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of AFC Bedford booed when 1878 Red Devils United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zane Jenkinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. AFC Bedford's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carolo Aguilar 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. 84 minutes into the game, one of AFC Bedford:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as 1878 Red Devils United's Carolo Aguilar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rory Wilberforce. That made the score 1-7 after 89 minutes of play. Jordi Morera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Rory Wilberforce made a huge save. AFC Bedford's Rory Wilberforce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Aguilar in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over 1878 Red Devils United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AFC Bedford throughout the match.
