Spectators: 7511 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Damon Forbes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Felix Dolby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rory Wilberforce having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damon Forbes in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pierce Curtis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AFC Bedford's Rory Wilberforce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Clough in the 13th minute of play. Pierce Curtis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jasper Dickner in the 14th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Jasper Dickner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Bedford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jasper Dickner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to AFC Bedford getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Damon Forbes hit a great ball. When Jon Clough came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Kinsella Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Clough couldn't finish the play. AFC Bedford's Rory Wilberforce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Clough in the 25th minute of play. Jon Clough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jon Clough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jon Clough was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to AFC Bedford getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Den Bramble hit a great ball. Orson Dumpleton, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Kinsella Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Dickner came free, but Pierce Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Jon Clough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Wilberforce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jasper Dickner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Felix Dolby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Mitch Merrill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kinsella Athletic's Jon Clough in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Bedford's goalie prevented a goal. Den Bramble kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After some careless play in the AFC Bedford defense, Felix Dolby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rory Wilberforce. The AFC Bedford fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rory Wilberforce should have stopped the shot. Jon Clough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Mitch Merrill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, AFC Bedford's Rory Wilberforce got control of the ball when Felix Dolby tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Kinsella Athletic's Jon Clough in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Bedford's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, AFC Bedford's Den Bramble got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Jon Clough was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Kinsella Athletic's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kinsella Athletic's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
