Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Colin Nethercoat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cove's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oława City United the free kick. After 4 played minutes Cove got a freekick which was hit by Colin Nethercoat. Damien Blackhurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Darby having to interfere. A collision led to Cove getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Robin Palmer hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Freddie Hartley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Darby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duncan Paget's late challenge caught a Cove's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duncan Paget helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Oława City United's Duncan Paget got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ash Barratt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leroy Proctor. Oława City United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leroy Proctor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tyler Broadhead in the 21st minute. Tyler Broadhead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Leroy Proctor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brett Greaves hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Tyler Broadhead managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyler Broadhead was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tyler Broadhead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Gardner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddie Hartley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Jeff Gardner kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leroy Proctor. That made the score 1-0 in the 40 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damien Blackhurst was the one to do the kick off. Leroy Proctor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Gardner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Palmer hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Joel Blueman, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Leroy Proctor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Gardner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leroy Proctor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyler Broadhead in the 68th minute of play. Tyler Broadhead recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Jeff Gardner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Proctor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyler Broadhead's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leroy Proctor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Leroy Proctor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Gardner in the 79th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Alan Pickering hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Oława City United's goalkeeper Leroy Proctor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cove fans cheered their team off the field, for while Oława City United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
