Patrick Pope hit a great ball. Tyler Broadhead blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mickey Coyle having to make a save. Jerome Darby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Byron Bowler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lance Lomas got free with Jerome Darby in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Byron Bowler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Darby having to interfere. Byron Bowler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeff Gardner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Coyle having to interfere. In the 29th minute Tyler Broadhead shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Perry Stonebridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Robin Palmer notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fortaleza EC's Mickey Coyle. Mickey Coyle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 37 played minutes, Cove's Ash Barratt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mickey Coyle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cove reached it. In the 38th minute, Ash Barratt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Cove's goal looked a bit too open when Byron Bowler came free, but Jerome Darby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeff Gardner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robin Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Coyle having to interfere. Mickey Coyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Gardner in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lance Lomas in the 61st minute of play forced Cove's goalkeeper Jerome Darby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tyler Broadhead could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Mickey Coyle made a huge save. Jerome Darby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Byron Bowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Robin Palmer kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Gardner in the 75th minute of play forced Fortaleza EC's goalkeeper Mickey Coyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fortaleza EC's goalkeeper Mickey Coyle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fortaleza EC's Mickey Coyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Fortaleza EC from getting a goal against them.
