Todd Shipley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Alfred Woodhead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shane Trueman charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shane Trueman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Little Harrowden FC's Shane Trueman got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes of play, New Teamname's Glenn Rushforth made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Woodhead was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of New Teamname booed when Little Harrowden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Barone didn't get a good kick on the ball. New Teamname's Glenn Rushforth got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wally Heslop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Woodhead having to interfere. John Lambourne charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Lambourne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Little Harrowden FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. John Lambourne hit a great ball. Les Mulligan might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Woodhead. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Les Mulligan ran back to his position shaking his head. Wally Heslop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Woodhead having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Little Harrowden FC's goalkeeper Alfred Woodhead had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glenn Rushforth. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Little Harrowden FC's goalkeeper Alfred Woodhead, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When New Teamname's Les Mulligan in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Little Harrowden FC's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Glenn Rushforth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, New Teamname's Todd Shipley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfred Woodhead narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Glenn Rushforth came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the New Teamname fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glenn Rushforth couldn't finish the play. New Teamname's Todd Shipley got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glenn Rushforth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Wally Heslop managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Teamname's supporters rose to their feet, but Wally Heslop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Woodhead breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Les Mulligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Alfred Woodhead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, New Teamname's Les Mulligan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfred Woodhead made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Casey Crocker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Barnfield in the 76th minute of the match. When Les Mulligan came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the New Teamname fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Les Mulligan couldn't finish the play. Alfred Woodhead showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wally Heslop in the 81st minute of the match. Alfred Woodhead took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Rushforth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Todd Shipley took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Woodhead. Alfred Woodhead dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Todd Shipley struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Alfred Woodhead didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Teamname. After some careless play in the Little Harrowden FC defense, Glenn Rushforth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfred Woodhead. The Little Harrowden FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfred Woodhead should have stopped the shot. After 94 played minutes New Teamname got a freekick which was hit by Wally Heslop. 96 minutes into the match, Peter Farrell notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of New Teamname's Casey Crocker. Casey Crocker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. New Teamname walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
