Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Glenn Rushforth got the match started through his kick off. When New Teamname's Glenn Rushforth in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mitch FC's goalie prevented a goal. Les Mulligan hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Kris McGrath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Todd Shipley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Les Mulligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Joel Silk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mitch FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bart Philpott hit a great ball. Glenn Rushforth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Silk having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Glenn Rushforth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Silk was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Todd Shipley scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Silk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joel Silk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Les Mulligan, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39thth minute of the game Les Mulligan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mitch FC's Joel Silk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the New Teamname defense, Kris McGrath kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casey Crocker. The New Teamname fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casey Crocker should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tristan Burbeary to make the kick off. Casey Crocker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Burbeary, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Les Mulligan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. New Teamname's Casey Crocker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tristan Burbeary in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Kris McGrath notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of New Teamname's Casey Crocker. Casey Crocker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute, Stan Carey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as New Teamname's Glenn Rushforth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joel Silk. That made the score 2-2 after 76 minutes of play. If Les Mulligan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Silk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Rushforth in the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to New Teamname getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Stan Carey hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Les Mulligan managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Teamname's supporters rose to their feet, but Les Mulligan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Silk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glenn Rushforth in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Silk saved Mitch FC from getting behind. In the 90th match minute, Mitch FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Philpott to maneuver through the defense. Todd Shipley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, New Teamname's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Burbeary came free, but Casey Crocker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the New Teamname players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
