Cheddar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Nial Short managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheddar's supporters rose to their feet, but Nial Short was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Woodhead breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, Little Harrowden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nial Short came free, but Alfred Woodhead reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nicky Ward's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfred Woodhead was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Stuart Barnfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dale Kearney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Woodhead came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cheddar's Nicky Ward. But to his dismay, Nicky Ward quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With an all-out effort, Cheddar's Alfred Woodhead threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nial Short, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nicky Ward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Woodhead having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Jason Cooke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Little Harrowden FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cheddar the free kick. The supporters of Cheddar booed when Little Harrowden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Cooke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dale Kearney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Barnfield in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Little Harrowden FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Giles Vaughan hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Nicky Ward got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Darius Darling kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Peter Farrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 minutes, Peter Farrell made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cheddar's Dale Kearney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Stuart Barnfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cheddar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Little Harrowden FC.
