An unexpectedly hard shot by Lance Crawshaw in the 4th minute of play forced Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper Devon Morgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tottenham Hotspur's Devon Morgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Reid in the 13th minute of play. Christopher Bourne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Todd Boyce kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Tottenham Hotspur's Philip Paine dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Billie Lucas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, one of Tottenham Hotspur:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tottenham Hotspur. Devon Morgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Reid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 played minutes Tottenham Hotspur got a freekick which was hit by Kris Stevens. 43 minutes into the match, Tottenham Hotspur's goal looked a bit too open when Glen Rawson came free, but Devon Morgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Glen Rawson made the kick off in the second half. Glen Rawson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Devon Morgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scott Elding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, LKS Strumien's Glen Rawson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Devon Morgan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper Devon Morgan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glen Rawson. In the 64th minute, Philip Paine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lance Crawshaw who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Devon Morgan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rob Homes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Philip Paine went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Tottenham Hotspur getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Tris Whitehead hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes, LKS Strumien's Lance Crawshaw shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Devon Morgan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LKS Strumien reached it. 84 minutes into the match, Tottenham Hotspur's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Reid came free, but Devon Morgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christopher Bourne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Askew's late challenge caught a LKS Strumien's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Askew helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of LKS Strumien booed when Tottenham Hotspur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Askew didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lance Crawshaw's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Devon Morgan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Tottenham Hotspur were victorious despite being under pressure from LKS Strumien for much of the match.
