An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Bourne in the 26th minute of play forced New Teamname's goalkeeper Casey Crocker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 played minutes LKS Strumien got a freekick which was hit by Scott Elding. In the 28th match minute, LKS Strumien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Selby to maneuver through the defense. Rob Homes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Les Mulligan in the 32nd minute of the match. Rob Homes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn Rushforth, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Glenn Rushforth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, LKS Strumien's goal looked a bit too open when Wally Heslop came free, but Rob Homes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led New Teamname's Stan Carey to fire away a dangerous shot which Rob Homes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rob Homes came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by New Teamname's Les Mulligan. But to his dismay, Les Mulligan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 70th minute, Les Mulligan made a precise shot to the right of Rob Homes. LKS Strumien's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Sean Reid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lance Crawshaw charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 82nd match minute, LKS Strumien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Crawshaw to maneuver through the defense.
