Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) After a defensive mix-up in Olveston FC's zone, Reuben Jewson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Corrigan came out of the goal and Reuben Jewson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute of the match Des Case shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marty Corrigan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Reuben Jewson succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Robin Colt hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Marty Corrigan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reuben Jewson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ron Butt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marty Corrigan. Olveston FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Olveston FC's Bart Norfolk tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ringwood AFC's goalkeeper Damon Musgrove, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robin Colt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Damon Musgrove made a huge save. From close distance Robin Colt pressed in the 1-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 32 minutes into the game. 37 minutes into the match, Robin Colt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damon Musgrove. Ringwood AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robin Colt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 47th match minute, Olveston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Trotter to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Ringwood AFC's Damon Musgrove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Colt in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Robin Colt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olveston FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Colt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damon Musgrove breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damon Musgrove came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Olveston FC's Robin Colt. But to his dismay, Robin Colt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Reuben Jewson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reuben Jewson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Olveston FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bradley Hewitt hit a great ball. Tod Vaughn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Corrigan having to interfere. The supporters of Ringwood AFC booed when Olveston FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Norfolk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Colt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Thom Ash's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damon Musgrove was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Olveston FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Tod Vaughn scored to the left of an out of position Marty Corrigan, making the score, 3-2.
