Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pierre Hunter made the kick off and thus started the match. Robin Colt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dale Prendergast read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Dale Prendergast took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Colt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marty Corrigan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gary Basterfield in the 10th minute. Marty Corrigan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Hunter, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Chiswick United were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Olveston FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jamal Pickford took the corner. Gary Basterfields short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Marty Corrigan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 27th minute, Bradley Hewitt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 played minutes, Chiswick United's Jamal Pickford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marty Corrigan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chiswick United reached it. The supporters of Chiswick United booed when Olveston FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Norfolk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jamal Pickford was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pierre Hunter succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After 35 played minutes Chiswick United got a freekick which was hit by Adam Partridge. After 37 minutes of play, Chiswick United's Gary Basterfield made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marty Corrigan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Olveston FC booed when Chiswick United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ray Beattie didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Robin Colt came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Olveston FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Colt couldn't finish the play. Gary Basterfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Thom Ash made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pierre Hunter in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marty Corrigan saved Olveston FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Olveston FC defense, Gary Basterfield kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marty Corrigan. The Olveston FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marty Corrigan should have stopped the shot. Gary Basterfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Marty Corrigan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pierre Hunter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Colt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pierre Hunter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Corrigan having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Olveston FC got a freekick which was hit by Todd Seaman. If Gary Basterfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Pierre Hunter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chiswick United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Thom Ash received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Dale Prendergast tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gary Basterfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Corrigan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Olveston FC's zone, Gary Basterfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Corrigan came out of the goal and Gary Basterfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chiswick United had played much better football throughout.
