Eddie Henman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Rush in the 5th minute of play. Eddie Henman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matt Durrant, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Grant Haskell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Eddie Henman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grant Haskell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th match minute, Jagiellonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaz Bedford to maneuver through the defense. Grant Haskell hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia's Garry Boston broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matt Durrant in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddie Henman saved Jagiellonia from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Jagiellonia's zone, Andy Gilchrist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddie Henman came out of the goal and Andy Gilchrist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Charlie Rush shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Henman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matt Durrant in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddie Henman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eddie Henman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grant Haskell went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Teddy Sparks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Turk's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Grant Haskell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Henman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matt Durrant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eddie Henman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Charlie Rush came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the IceTigers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charlie Rush couldn't finish the play. If Grant Haskell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Gilchrist in the 43rd minute of play forced Jagiellonia's goalkeeper Eddie Henman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pete Jones fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IceTigers's protests and gave Pete Jones a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Pete Jones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Romeo Turk made the kick off in the second half. If Grant Haskell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Matt Durrant dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eddie Henman, 0-2. If Andy Gilchrist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Rush received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eddie Henman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Charlie Rush managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IceTigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlie Rush was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 played minutes Jagiellonia got a freekick which was hit by Garry Boston. Charlie Rush could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Eddie Henman made a huge save. Matt Durrant struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Eddie Henman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IceTigers. In the 66th minute, Charlie Rush got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jagiellonia's zone, Grant Haskell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddie Henman came out of the goal and Grant Haskell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Jagiellonia booed when IceTigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Maskell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddie Henman made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Matt Durrant sent off a good shot on target. Matt Durrant's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Eddie Henman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. IceTigers's Matt Durrant got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Grant Haskell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grant Haskell hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Eddie Henman was a little too slow when Matt Durrant got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-3.
