With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ozzy Coulson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ozzy Coulson came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Barnoldswick FC's Felix Walls. But to his dismay, Felix Walls quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 43rd minute, OJ Rovers's Emilio Laurin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. OJ Rovers's Ozzy Coulson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pete Monk in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jack Hay made the kick off in the second half. Will Larham kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Emilio Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Chip Byfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes, Andre Turnbull mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barnoldswick FC and the OJ Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. OJ Rovers's Emilio Laurin got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Laurin in the 76th minute of play forced Barnoldswick FC's goalkeeper Chip Byfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, OJ Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Larham to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Barnoldswick FC's Andre Turnbull got a free kick in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Gavin Bass was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OJ Rovers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barnoldswick FC the free kick. OJ Rovers's Ozzy Coulson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save OJ Rovers from getting a goal against them.
