Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jack Hay kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Ilkley City's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Hay came free, but Rodd York reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 3 played minutes Ilkley City got a freekick which was hit by Darius Pascoe. Keanu Mason kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Pete Monk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilkley City's Rodd York played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Hay in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ilkley City's zone, Jack Hay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodd York came out of the goal and Jack Hay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrew Cookson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Chip Byfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Pete Monk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rodd York was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patrick Lagdon charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Lagdon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Barnoldswick FC's Jack Hay in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ilkley City's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Barnoldswick FC's Chip Byfield got control of the ball when Alan Munday tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Andre Turnbull fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barnoldswick FC's protests and gave Andre Turnbull a yellow card for diving instead. Andre Turnbull kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrew Cookson made a kick off. Rodd York made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Hay in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Jack Hay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alan Munday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chip Byfield having to interfere. Rodd York made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pete Monk in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Ilkley City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pete Monk fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Chip Byfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Cookson, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Alan Munday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chip Byfield having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Andrew Cookson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Barnoldswick FC's Chip Byfield. Chip Byfield was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With 80 minutes on the clock, Charles Hickson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Barnoldswick FC a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Austin Langley, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ilkley City's Rodd York. 1-2. In the 93rd minute, Pete Monk sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ilkley City's Rodd York didn't even have to move. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ashley Broadhurst during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Barnoldswick FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashley Broadhurst to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Barnoldswick FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
