The referee ignored Burnham on Sea's protests and gave Johnathon Sullivan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Johnathon Sullivan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jay Smith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathon Forrest in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Crispin Butterworth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dove Holes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burnham on Sea the free kick. In the 21st match minute, Dove Holes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Crispin Butterworth to maneuver through the defense. Mark Hollingsworth in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kieran Drake, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Clist in the 23rd minute of play forced Dove Holes's goalkeeper Kieran Drake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jay Smith stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodd Jump's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Rodd Jump scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jay Smith, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeff Reid hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jay Smith stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodd Jump's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. David Sadler hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Burnham on Sea's zone, Johnathon Forrest stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jay Smith came out of the goal and Johnathon Forrest tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodd Jump fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Smith having to interfere. When Johnathon Forrest came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Dove Holes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnathon Forrest couldn't finish the play. If Calvin Clist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When Louis Gamble fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dove Holes's protests and gave Louis Gamble a yellow card for diving instead. Louis Gamble kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Mark Hollingsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Kieran Drake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremy Stockton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jay Smith. Burnham on Sea's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Calvin Clist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kieran Drake was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 64 minutes of play Burnham on Sea's Johnathon Sullivan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 64th minute, Johnathon Sullivan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dove Holes's Johnathon Forrest managed to work through Burnham on Sea's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Johnathon Forrest dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodd Jump kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jay Smith. That made the score 1-3 in the 67 minute of play. Jay Smith didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Dove Holes's Rodd Jump shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Burnham on Sea were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Dove Holes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kevin Maylett took the corner. Kevin Maylett made a great header on Burnham on Sea's corner, it was just that Dove Holes's Kieran Drake managed to reach the ball for a save. Mark Hollingsworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieran Drake having to interfere. If David Sadler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kieran Drake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Sadler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mark Hollingsworth took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kieran Drake. Kieran Drake dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4.
