Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rodney Slator made the kick off and thus started the match. Mick Hartley kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. If Rodney Slator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominic Duke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Mallaby having to interfere. Mitch Mallaby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodney Slator in the 19th minute of play. Damian West hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Dominic Duke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bulwell AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominic Duke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitch Mallaby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damian Salmon scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jools Cardwell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Damian Salmon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominic Duke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bulwell AFC booed when Hove FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Brent didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, Hove FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mick Hartley to maneuver through the defense. Dominic Duke scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mitch Mallaby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Bulwell AFC booed when Hove FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Howden didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Damian Salmon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Jools Cardwell made a huge save. Damian Salmon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jools Cardwell having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Rodney Slator left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bulwell AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bulwell AFC's goalkeeper Jools Cardwell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damian Salmons short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Jools Cardwell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mitch Mallaby came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bulwell AFC's Dominic Duke. But to his dismay, Dominic Duke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Jools Cardwell was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Charles Pearch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Charles Pearch really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Dominic Duke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominic Duke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mitch Mallaby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dominic Duke took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitch Mallaby. Mitch Mallaby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Charles Pearch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bulwell AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hove FC for a fine match.
