Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Charles Pearch started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, The Rangers FC's Connor Sills ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mitch Mallaby. Mitch Mallaby yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some careless play in the The Rangers FC defense, Charles Pearch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Firth. The The Rangers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Firth should have stopped the shot. Duncan Nevin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitch Mallaby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Connor Sills in the 19th minute of play. Duncan Nevin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mitch Mallaby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Hove FC's goalkeeper Mitch Mallaby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duncan Nevin. Connor Sills got in the 23rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mitch Mallaby handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Mick Hartley hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Duncan Nevin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Mallaby having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duncan Nevin got free with Mitch Mallaby in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mick Hartley kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Connor Sills got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duncan Nevin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hove FC's Mitch Mallaby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connor Sills in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, Hove FC's Mitch Mallaby got control of the ball when Duncan Nevin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damian Salmon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dennis Firth having to make a save. 46 minutes into the match, Connor Sills had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mitch Mallaby. Hove FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Connor Sills was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Connor Sills to make the kick off. Mick Hartley got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Hove FC's Mick Hartley got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Damian Salmon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Dennis Firth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hove FC's Mitch Mallaby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connor Sills in the 58th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Connor Sills notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Hove FC's Mitch Mallaby. Mitch Mallaby was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lance Miller kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, The Rangers FC's goalkeeper Dennis Firth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Salmon. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Connor Sills in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mitch Mallaby saved Hove FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, The Rangers FC's Benjamin Purvis got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 79 played minutes Hove FC got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Pearce. The Rangers FC's Bart Baldwin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hove FC. Damian Salmon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Dennis Firth made a huge save. With a little luck, The Rangers FC's Dennis Firth got control of the ball when Damian Salmon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damian Salmon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Firth having to interfere. Duncan Nevin took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitch Mallaby. Mitch Mallaby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Damian Salmon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Dennis Firth made a huge save. The Rangers FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hove FC for a fine match.
