Buster Beard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Stamp in the 10th minute of the match. Matthew Stamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jake Lambert managed to get in a good position for a shot. sunderland afc's supporters rose to their feet, but Jake Lambert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buster Beard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes in the game, Matthew Stamp dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Buster Beard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jake Lambert, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Matthew Stamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conal Lydiate in the 47th minute of play forced sunderland afc's goalkeeper Chaz Downs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Deon Lilley charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Deon Lilley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in sunderland afc's zone, Conal Lydiate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chaz Downs came out of the goal and Conal Lydiate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the match, sunderland afc's goal looked a bit too open when John Goodwick came free, but Chaz Downs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jake Lambert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthew Stamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Buster Beard made a huge save. Chaz Downs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Goodwick in the 95th minute of the match. sunderland afc played a much better game than Piwkol FC and deserved their victory. The Piwkol FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
