The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Annscroft AFC. Iain Steel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austen Byrne having to interfere. A collision led to Annscroft AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Aaron Mabbutt hit a great ball. Paybridge Celtic's Hugh Ellerby got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute Aaron Mabbutt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lewis Winstanley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Austen Byrne was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iain Steel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Paybridge Celtic's Lewis Winstanley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Mabbutt in the 23rd minute of play. Annscroft AFC's Austen Byrne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Annscroft AFC from getting a goal against them. Lewis Winstanley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marek Herring's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Lewis Winstanley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley Harkness, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Paybridge Celtic's Hugh Ellerby got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Annscroft AFC's zone, Iain Steel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austen Byrne came out of the goal and Iain Steel tried to chip the ball over his head. Lewis Winstanley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After having played for 73 minutes, Wesley Charles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paybridge Celtic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesley Charles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paybridge Celtic's Lewis Winstanley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Herring in the 75th minute of play. Lewis Winstanley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Mabbutt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Marek Herring kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lewis Winstanley. That made the score 1-4 in the 79 minute of play. Camron Maylett struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Austen Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paybridge Celtic. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camron Maylett in the 88th minute of play forced Annscroft AFC's goalkeeper Austen Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
