Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Seth Attwood made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute Seth Attwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chaz Downs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joe Fleetwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jake Lambert, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Junior Duckworth came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Illusion XI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Junior Duckworth couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Junior Duckworth got free with Chaz Downs in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chaz Downs was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Seth Attwood capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Seth Attwood really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A collision led to sunderland afc getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Bruce Llyod hit a great ball. Chaz Downs was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Chaz Parsons. Joe Fleetwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jake Lambert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matthew Stamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joe Fleetwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 minutes, Wayne Strickland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Illusion XI and the sunderland afc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wayne Strickland hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Matthew Stamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Junior Duckworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Chaz Downs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nial Beesley during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nial Beesley kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Matthew Stamp could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Joe Fleetwood however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in sunderland afc's zone, Junior Duckworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chaz Downs came out of the goal and Junior Duckworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jake Lambert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Joe Fleetwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Illusion XI's zone, Jake Lambert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joe Fleetwood came out of the goal and Jake Lambert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the game, Jake Lambert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joe Fleetwood. Jake Lambert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 89th match minute, sunderland afc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barrie Dobson to maneuver through the defense. Seth Attwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Chaz Downs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthew Stamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Fleetwood having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Lambert in the 95th minute of play forced Illusion XI's goalkeeper Joe Fleetwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The sunderland afc players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Illusion XI from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
