Piers Partridge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Illusion XI. Seth Attwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Partridge having to interfere. Junior Duckworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Piers Partridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Illusion XI's Seth Attwood got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Duckworth in the 18th minute of play forced French Toast Mafia's goalkeeper Piers Partridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes in the game, Rod Hunt fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joe Fleetwood having to interfere. In the 25th minute Seth Attwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Partridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Junior Duckworth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piers Partridge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Seth Attwood's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Seth Attwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Partridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Junior Duckworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Junior Duckworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Partridge having to interfere. Adam Bowler hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Seth Attwood came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Illusion XI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seth Attwood couldn't finish the play. Junior Duckworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Partridge having to interfere. When Junior Duckworth came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Illusion XI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Junior Duckworth couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Seth Attwood made the kick off in the second half. Seth Attwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Partridge having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Junior Duckworth lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Piers Partridge. Seth Attwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Adam Bowler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. French Toast Mafia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Illusion XI the free kick. Adam Bowler hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Rod Hunt kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seth Attwood in the 77th minute of play forced French Toast Mafia's goalkeeper Piers Partridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piers Partridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seth Attwood in the 79th minute of the match. If Seth Attwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seth Attwood scored 0-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Piers Partridge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Piers Partridge made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Junior Duckworth sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute Seth Attwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Partridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes French Toast Mafia got a freekick which was hit by Cliff Perryman. After 98 played minutes, Illusion XI's Chaz Parsons shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Piers Partridge came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Illusion XI reached it. Illusion XI's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
