Ralf Hirst charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ralf Hirst the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Running Ducks getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ralf Hirst hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Annscroft AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, Running Ducks's Marcus Saxton got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Austen Byrne. Wes Meade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathon Jenkinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ray Dudgeon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Running Ducks's supporters rose to their feet, but Ray Dudgeon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Austen Byrne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Annscroft AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Aaron Mabbutt hit a great ball. Austen Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Dudgeon, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Seb Lynam kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Wes Meade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnathon Jenkinson in the 27th minute of the match. Johnathon Jenkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wes Meade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathon Jenkinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ralf Hirst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austen Byrne having to interfere. When Annscroft AFC's Johnathon Jenkinson in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Running Ducks's goalie prevented a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marek Herring to make the kick off. Ralf Hirst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Austen Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Annscroft AFC's Bart Salmon got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ray Dudgeon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes in the game, Marek Herring fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wes Meade having to interfere. Seb Lynam kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Marek Herring struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Wes Meade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Annscroft AFC. Neil Norton hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Austen Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Dudgeon, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Wes Meade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marek Herring in the 75th minute. Ralf Hirst might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Austen Byrne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ralf Hirst ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 86 minutes, Marek Herring managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Annscroft AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Herring was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the game, one of Annscroft AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Johnathon Jenkinson in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wes Meade, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 97 played minutes Running Ducks got a freekick which was hit by Kris Hoskins.
