Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Donald Goodwin started the match with the kick off. Max Sanderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Phillip Kerridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Sanderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Thame's zone, Donald Goodwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phillip Kerridge came out of the goal and Donald Goodwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Max Sanderson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Denis Wiseman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thame's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Wiseman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Apsden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denis Wiseman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Apsden having to make a save. If Wayne Keane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Wiseman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Apsden having to interfere. Tom Apsden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wayne Keane in the 27th minute of the match. Dean Longley, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Donald Goodwin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phillip Kerridge. Thame's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donald Goodwin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Thame getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Devon Ash hit a great ball. Phillip Kerridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Goodwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 minutes, Donald Goodwin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dymchurch City and the Thame players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Dymchurch City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Rain to maneuver through the defense. The Thame players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dymchurch City were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Denis Wiseman made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Dymchurch City's Donald Goodwin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Phillip Kerridge. That made the score 0-2 after 54 minutes of play. Phillip Kerridge was a little too slow when Donald Goodwin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 0-3. 89 minutes into the match, Thame's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Goodwin came free, but Phillip Kerridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon Gayle kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Donald Goodwin struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Phillip Kerridge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dymchurch City. Dymchurch City's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
