Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dymchurch City's Donald Goodwin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Netherton Colts defense, Dane Rain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brad Huxtable. The Netherton Colts fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brad Huxtable should have stopped the shot. Donald Goodwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brad Huxtable having to interfere. With a little luck, Netherton Colts's Brad Huxtable got control of the ball when Dane Rain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tony Wiltshire kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Mattias Needham sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brad Huxtable skillfully saved the ball. In the 14th minute Dymchurch City were awarded a corner. Mattias Needham went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Dymchurch City's Donald Goodwin to fire away a dangerous shot which Brad Huxtable despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ted Glasby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Apsden having to make a save. Max Sanderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Brad Huxtable made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Brad Huxtable successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 25th match minute, Netherton Colts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rueben Barfield to maneuver through the defense. Max Sanderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jon Illingworth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Brad Huxtable made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Caton got free with Brad Huxtable in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brad Huxtable made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Dane Rain sent off a good shot on target. Brad Huxtable showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Goodwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joseph Hepburn to make the kick off. Rueben Barfield made a great header on Netherton Colts's corner, it was just that Dymchurch City's Tom Apsden managed to reach the ball for a save. Brad Huxtable made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald Goodwin in the 57th minute of play. Dymchurch City's Tom Apsden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Hepburn in the 63rd minute of play. Max Sanderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Brad Huxtable tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Netherton Colts fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dymchurch City had played much better football throughout.
