The audience thought a goal was coming when Al Abbott got free with Orson Bridge in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the game, Des Thomson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Slovan Liberec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huntingdon United the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Slovan Liberec's Des Thomson got a free kick in the 16th minute. Orson Bridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Button, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute Guy Munday shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guy Munday received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Damian Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Munday in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Slovan Liberec's goalkeeper Damian Robinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guy Munday's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Robinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Huntingdon United's zone, Des Thomson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orson Bridge came out of the goal and Des Thomson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Al Abbott got free with Orson Bridge in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Jon Plumber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Orson Bridge didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Slovan Liberec's Al Abbott shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 69th minute Al Abbott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orson Bridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Huntingdon United's Kristopher Golding sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damian Robinson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Des Thomson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The FC Slovan Liberec fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when FC Slovan Liberec's Al Abbott looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Orson Bridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Al Abbott, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. FC Slovan Liberec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steven Button was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Al Abbott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Slovan Liberec's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
