Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kurt Cadwallader kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Eston's Jamal Herring got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Andre Hislop struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Sammy Hicks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fife Athletic. A collision led to Eston getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Alan Roberts hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Fife Athletic's Dom Dalby broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Darius Locke hit a great ball. Donald Ashford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfie Willmott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Eston defense, Kurt Cadwallader kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sammy Hicks. The Eston fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sammy Hicks should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Fife Athletic's zone, Shaun Ginn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donald Ashford came out of the goal and Shaun Ginn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute Kurt Cadwallader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Eston defense, Kurt Cadwallader kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sammy Hicks. The Eston fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sammy Hicks should have stopped the shot. Sammy Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Cadwallader, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfie Willmott made a kick off. Frankie Krief charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frankie Krief the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Eston! The referee gave Fife Athletic a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dom Dalby, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Eston's Sammy Hicks. 1-4.
