Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alfie Willmott kicked off to start the match. In the 4th match minute, Sutton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Monkman to maneuver through the defense. Gwyn Garrett kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Eston got a freekick which was hit by Alfie Willmott. Sammy Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristram Wright in the 9th minute of play. Alfie Willmott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. William Ramsden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shaun Ginn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Shaun Ginn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pete Delaney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but William Ramsden made a huge save. 28 minutes into the match, Sutton's goal looked a bit too open when Alfie Willmott came free, but William Ramsden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfie Willmott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sammy Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylon Sawbridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristram Wright in the 42nd minute of play forced Eston's goalkeeper Sammy Hicks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dylon Sawbridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sammy Hicks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Shaun Ginn came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Eston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shaun Ginn couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tristram Wright to strike the kick off in the second half. Shaun Ginn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Ramsden having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Gwyn Garrett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes Sutton got a freekick which was hit by Joe Collingwood. Shaun Ginn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Sutton booed when Eston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfie Willmott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfie Willmott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. William Ramsden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 71st minute of the match Kurt Monkman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kurt Monkman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Eston booed when Sutton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Monkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Sutton defense, Shaun Ginn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of William Ramsden. The Sutton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that William Ramsden should have stopped the shot. Shaun Ginn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. William Ramsden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. William Ramsden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun Ginn in the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sutton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Eston.
