Blackburn City's Rupert Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tristram Wright in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute Brynn Leslie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Ramsden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Lance Goodall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sutton's William Ramsden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Monkman during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Brynn Leslie came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Blackburn City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brynn Leslie couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Blackburn City getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Doug Stone hit a great ball. When Doug Stone fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blackburn City's protests and gave Doug Stone a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Blackburn City's Doug Stone got a free kick in the 36th minute. Gwyn Garrett helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sutton's Gwyn Garrett got a free kick in the 51st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Blackburn City's Brynn Leslie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that William Ramsden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lance Goodall in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Ramsden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute Tristram Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dylon Sawbridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lance Goodall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. William Ramsden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Sutton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Dalby to maneuver through the defense. William Ramsden made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Brynn Leslie sent off a good shot on target. Blackburn City's Rupert Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tristram Wright in the 74th minute of play. Kyle Croxford hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Rupert Barrett came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Sutton's Tristram Wright. But to his dismay, Tristram Wright quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Blackburn City's Doug Stone got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Gwyn Garrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rupert Barrett didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sutton's Tristram Wright shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dylon Sawbridge in the 88th minute of play forced Blackburn City's goalkeeper Rupert Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sutton's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
