Eston's Sammy Hicks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Widdrington in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Newton Aycliffe's goalkeeper Miles Osborn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shaun Ginn. Shaun Ginn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miles Osborn having to interfere. David Forrest helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Jamal Herring left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eston fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 71st play minutes Alfie Willmott shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Miles Osborn and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Eston getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Newton Aycliffe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eston the free kick. Mike Moss kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Eston booed when Newton Aycliffe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Moss didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Eston fully deserved thier win.
