Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brad Holdroyd got the match started through his kick off. CJ Dry in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kasey Parslow, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Sutton on Sea City's zone, CJ Dry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kasey Parslow came out of the goal and CJ Dry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Capes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Whittingham in the 17th minute of play forced Sutton on Sea City's goalkeeper Kasey Parslow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, Sutton on Sea City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Capes to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Kasey Parslow managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Southall's CJ Dry fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kasey Parslow made an important save on a dangerous shot by CJ Dry in the 26th minute. Southall's Toby Longley shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kasey Parslow but with some difficulty. When Wesley Lydiate came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Southall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Lydiate couldn't finish the play. Southall's Johnny Brooks suffered a concussion in the 42nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 48th minute, Duncan Whittingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wesley Lydiate made a kick off. If Duncan Whittingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wesley Lydiate blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kasey Parslow having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Duncan Whittingham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southall's supporters rose to their feet, but Duncan Whittingham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kasey Parslow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kasey Parslow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Lydiate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Duncan Whittingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sutton on Sea City's zone, Wesley Lydiate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kasey Parslow came out of the goal and Wesley Lydiate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Wesley Lydiate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesley Lydiate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Sutton on Sea City's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Lydiate came free, but Kasey Parslow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sutton on Sea City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wesley Lydiate was slow to take the kick. During this time Southall's players had a chance to rest. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Garry Martin got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-0. 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Duncan Whittingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kasey Parslow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Dry, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Wesley Lydiate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasey Parslow having to interfere. Southall's CJ Dry got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If CJ Dry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, CJ Dry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duncan Whittingham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasey Parslow having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Wesley Lydiate left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Southall fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. There was no doubt that Southall were the better team. Southall's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
