Spectators: 5151 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 151) Essex Gang's Eddie Hargrave played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Lydiate in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Al Barber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Nicoll kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Southall's Vance Hindmarsh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Southall from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Essex Gang getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Brendon Gale hit a great ball. In the 12th minute CJ Dry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Hargrave saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Southall booed when Essex Gang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vance Sheldon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Duncan Whittingham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eddie Hargrave was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Southall's CJ Dry got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 19 minutes, Brendon Gale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Essex Gang's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brendon Gale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eddie Hargrave didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wesley Lydiate went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Eddie Hargrave came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Southall's CJ Dry. But to his dismay, CJ Dry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Duncan Whittingham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CJ Dry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Southall's Johnny Brooks got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CJ Dry succeeded in the game's 41st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. After a rather tough play, Essex Gang's Norman Vaughn got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Graeme Saville to strike the kick off in the second half. Jon Marler kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Southall's Wesley Lydiate tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 56 minutes of play, Southall's Garry Martin made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eddie Hargrave was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot by Al Barber from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Eddie Hargrave's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 60th minute, Brendon Gale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CJ Dry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Eddie Hargrave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CJ Dry's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Eddie Hargrave skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. CJ Drys short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Eddie Hargrave to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 68th match minute, Essex Gang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendon Gale to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Wesley Lydiate from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Eddie Hargrave's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. CJ Dry's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Eddie Hargrave skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Duncan Whittingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brendon Gale during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes Essex Gang got a freekick which was hit by Brendon Gale. The long shot by Wesley Lydiate in the 74th minute really tested Eddie Hargrave's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 76 minutes into the game, Graeme Saville was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Essex Gang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Southall the free kick. Graeme Saville kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When CJ Dry came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Southall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that CJ Dry couldn't finish the play. Essex Gang's Eddie Hargrave proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Essex Gang from getting a goal against them. Johnny Brooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 81 in the game by CJ Dry from a close distance when the talented Eddie Hargrave managed to make a qualified save. Essex Gang's players were relieved. Wesley Lydiate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Hargrave having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Essex Gang's goalkeeper Eddie Hargrave had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by CJ Dry. The crowd rose to their feet as Wesley Lydiate kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eddie Hargrave. That made the score 0-5 in the 85 minute of play. CJ Dry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Eddie Hargrave made a huge save. CJ Dry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Eddie Hargrave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, CJ Dry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southall's supporters rose to their feet, but CJ Dry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eddie Hargrave breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Southall's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
