CJ Dry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Shaun Sutcliffe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Southall's Vance Hindmarsh got control of the ball when David Leadbeater tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Twyford's goal looked a bit too open when CJ Dry came free, but Shaun Sutcliffe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Southall's Duncan Whittingham got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Rio Norton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Twyford and the Southall players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute of the match Wesley Lydiate shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shaun Sutcliffe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Wesley Lydiate notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Twyford's Shaun Sutcliffe. Shaun Sutcliffe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vance Hindmarsh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronan Brewer in the 31st minute of the match. Shaun Sutcliffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Lydiate in the 34th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. CJ Dry was the one to do the kick off. Shaun Sutcliffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Lydiate, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. CJ Dry struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Shaun Sutcliffe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southall. Ronan Brewer's late challenge caught a Southall's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronan Brewer helped the player get up and apologised. Ronan Brewer hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. David Leadbeater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Leadbeater in the 89th minute of play forced Southall's goalkeeper Vance Hindmarsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Twyford's Rio Norton suffered a torn muscle in his knee after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 95 minutes into the game, Al Barber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Twyford the free kick. In the 96th match minute, Southall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Barber to maneuver through the defense. Dale Welsh might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vance Hindmarsh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dale Welsh ran back to his position shaking his head. Although Twyford had been in control for most of the match, Southall still came away with the win.
