Essex Gang's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Leadbeater was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. David Leadbeater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Hargrave having to interfere. When Twyford's Ronan Brewer in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Essex Gang's goalie prevented a goal. David Leadbeater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eddie Hargrave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rowan Ashton fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Twyford's protests and gave Rowan Ashton a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Essex Gang booed when Twyford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rowan Ashton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Brendon Gale came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Essex Gang fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendon Gale couldn't finish the play. Liam Tabb kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Dale Welsh was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Ronan Brewer put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Eddie Hargrave. Shaun Sutcliffe didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. If David Leadbeater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Leadbeater in the 35th minute of play forced Essex Gang's goalkeeper Eddie Hargrave to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronan Brewer took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eddie Hargrave. Eddie Hargrave dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After having played for 44 minutes, Ronan Brewer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Twyford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronan Brewer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Graeme Saville stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Twyford booed when Essex Gang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Vaughn didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as David Leadbeater kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eddie Hargrave. That made the score 1-4 in the 60 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronan Brewer in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddie Hargrave prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute Ronan Brewer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Hargrave saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Essex Gang's Eddie Hargrave played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronan Brewer in the 67th minute of play. David Leadbeater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Hargrave having to interfere. Eddie Hargrave took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronan Brewer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rowan Ashton hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Vance Sheldon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaun Sutcliffe having to interfere. Brendon Gale charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brendon Gale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Brendon Gale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Twyford's Dale Welsh couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Essex Gang. Ronan Brewer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, David Leadbeater lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Eddie Hargrave.
