In the 5th minute, Ronan Brewer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Leadbeater got free with Kasey Parslow in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ronan Brewer came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Twyford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronan Brewer couldn't finish the play. Chip Coates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaun Sutcliffe having to interfere. If Chip Coates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Sutton on Sea City's Chip Coates sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shaun Sutcliffe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Ted Perkins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sutton on Sea City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Twyford the free kick. A collision led to Sutton on Sea City getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ted Perkins hit a great ball. Dale Welsh took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kasey Parslow. Sutton on Sea City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Sutton on Sea City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Haley to maneuver through the defense. Kasey Parslow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronan Brewer, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ronan Brewer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kasey Parslow having to make a save. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sutton on Sea City's goalkeeper Kasey Parslow, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chip Coates during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Kasey Parslow successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 47th minute, David Leadbeater left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Twyford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronan Brewer was the one to do the kick off. Chip Coates recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kasey Parslow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronan Brewer, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Ronan Brewer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Kasey Parslow was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronan Brewer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasey Parslow having to interfere. Rio Norton kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Twyford's David Leadbeater sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kasey Parslow narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Twyford's goalkeeper Shaun Sutcliffe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chip Coates. Brad Holdroyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sutton on Sea City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
