After having played for 48 minutes, Basil Fry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. power rangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basil Fry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in power rangers's zone, Gus Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Al Prutton came out of the goal and Gus Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 93rd minute, Frazer Cartwright ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Al Prutton was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. There was no doubt that Eltham were the better team. Eltham's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
