Spectators: 7249 (Terracing: 5749, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vic Wicks made the kick off which started today's match. Alfie Bennet came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Lambeth FC's Ethan Airton. But to his dismay, Ethan Airton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The corner ended in Crispin Boyd almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Goldthorpe's Alfie Bennet did a great save. Ethan Airton struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Alfie Bennet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lambeth FC. Ethan Airton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Bennet having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clive Llewellyn in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edward Pearson saved Lambeth FC from getting behind. Lambeth FC's Edward Pearson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Foggarty in the 18th minute of play. Edward Pearson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Merrill, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 26th match minute, Goldthorpe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathon Bowe to maneuver through the defense. Vic Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vic Wicks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Bennet having to interfere. Alfie Bennet was a little too slow when Vic Wicks got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 3-0. Edward Pearson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clive Llewellyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lambeth FC booed when Goldthorpe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Devaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute of the match Crispin Boyd shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfie Bennet showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sid Foggarty to strike the kick off in the second half. Edward Pearson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clive Llewellyn in the 51st minute. In the 56th minute, Liam Merrill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfie Bennet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic Wicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Crispin Boyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfie Bennet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vic Wicks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Vic Wicks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfie Bennet was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Clive Llewellyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Edward Pearson made a huge save. If Vic Wicks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lambeth FC's Edward Pearson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Lambeth FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Vic Wicks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lambeth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vic Wicks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfie Bennet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 played minutes Lambeth FC got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Dryden. Lambeth FC's Edward Pearson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Foggarty in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Goldthorpe's goal looked a bit too open when Vic Wicks came free, but Alfie Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes, Clive Llewellyn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goldthorpe and the Lambeth FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Goldthorpe's Clive Llewellyn got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Vic Wicks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Bennet having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Clive Llewellyn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edward Pearson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vic Wicks in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfie Bennet saved Goldthorpe from getting behind.
