In the 12th minute Vic Wicks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Bloom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Mayfield in the 15th minute of play. When Alne AFC's Wayne Shipton in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 16th match minute, Lambeth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Dryden to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Alne AFC's goalkeeper Jo Bloom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vic Wicks. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wayne Shipton in the 23rd minute of play forced Lambeth FC's goalkeeper Edward Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Freddie Dryden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Bloom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Crispin Boyd got free with Jo Bloom in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vic Wicks in the 32nd minute of play forced Alne AFC's goalkeeper Jo Bloom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Emmerson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Pearson having to interfere. After 38 minutes, Pete Pringle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lambeth FC and the Alne AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Lambeth FC got a freekick which was hit by Pete Pringle. Edward Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Woods in the 45th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Lambeth FC's Martyn Hallam got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The throw-in from Felix Strickland in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lambeth FC's Freddie Dryden. In the 64th minute Nathan Stonebridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Bloom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Crispin Boyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vic Wicks scored 1-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jo Bloom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Felix Strickland kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Vic Wicks cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jo Bloom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Mayfield in the 79th minute of play forced Lambeth FC's goalkeeper Edward Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 played minutes Lambeth FC got a freekick which was hit by Ethan Airton. In the 81st minute, Joel Mayfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute, Franz Billing reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edward Pearson. The goal made the score 2-1. Al Green hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Vic Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Al Green shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lambeth FC's Edward Pearson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Lambeth FC from getting a goal against them. Alne AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
