Tris Pickering showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Bowden, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Glenn Mayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Fleetwood having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Stuart Welsh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Glenn Mayo made a precise shot to the right of Frankie Fleetwood. Walsall's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 21 minutes into the game, Perry Bowden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walsall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blueocean the free kick. After a rather tough play, Walsall's Perry Bowden got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Glenn Mayo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Blueocean fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glenn Mayo couldn't finish the play. Frankie Fleetwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth Fleetham in the 28th minute of play. When Blueocean's Seth Fleetham in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Walsall's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Perry Bowden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walsall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Bowden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Doug Stone kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Glenn Mayo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frankie Fleetwood skillfully saved the ball. When Glenn Mayo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Blueocean fans jumped to their feet. In the 59th minute of the match Orson Ambrose sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frankie Fleetwood skillfully saved the ball. The Blueocean fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Blueocean's Glenn Mayo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Seth Fleetham in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frankie Fleetwood prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frankie Fleetwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seth Fleetham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute of the match Brynn Rockett sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tris Pickering skillfully saved the ball. Frankie Fleetwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seth Fleetham, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a rather tough play, Walsall's Iain Boston got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Frankie Fleetwood acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Glenn Mayo. In the 76th minute of the match, Seth Fleetham tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frankie Fleetwood saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Glenn Mayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Frankie Fleetwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Walsall got a freekick which was hit by Richie Bentham. Seth Fleetham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glenn Mayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Frankie Fleetwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Walsall booed when Blueocean was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orson Ambrose didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seth Fleetham in the 92nd minute of play forced Walsall's goalkeeper Frankie Fleetwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 minutes, Oscar Goldthorpe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walsall and the Blueocean players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the final whistle sounded Blueocean left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Walsall.
