Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kirk Jowsey started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Walsall's Stuart Welsh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Austin Toovey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Austin Toovey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Bowden in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Walsall's goalkeeper Frankie Fleetwood, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 8 minutes into the game, Arsenal's Ollie Smikle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frankie Fleetwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 13 minutes into the match, Ollie Smikle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frankie Fleetwood. Walsall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ollie Smikle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Frankie Fleetwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Jowsey in the 16th minute of play. Ollie Smikle struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Frankie Fleetwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal. After 19 played minutes Kirk Jowsey rounded Walsall's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. 22 minutes into the match, Perry Bowden notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Arsenal's Austin Toovey. Austin Toovey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Will Wardill fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal's protests and gave Will Wardill a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ross Hartson to maneuver through the defense. Frankie Fleetwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ollie Smikle in the 31st minute. Ollie Smikle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Fleetwood having to interfere. Richie Bentham kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Jowsey in the 36th minute of play forced Walsall's goalkeeper Frankie Fleetwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Howard Alsford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Kirk Jowsey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frankie Fleetwood. The goal made the score 4-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perry Bowden to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Sid Horseman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frankie Fleetwood was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Frankie Fleetwood stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kirk Jowsey's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Kirk Jowsey notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Walsall's Frankie Fleetwood. Frankie Fleetwood was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Arsenal getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Will Wardill hit a great ball. Austin Toovey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Howard Alsford in the 64th minute. Kirk Jowsey struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Frankie Fleetwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal. 72 minutes into the match, Arsenal's Ollie Smikle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frankie Fleetwood narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute of the match Will Wardill sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frankie Fleetwood skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Ollie Smikle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frankie Fleetwood was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Ollie Smikle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute Kirk Jowsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Fleetwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kirk Jowsey came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirk Jowsey couldn't finish the play. Arsenal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
