The referee ignored Thurlaston AFC's protests and gave Kieran Branch a yellow card for diving instead. Kieran Branch hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Thurlaston AFC's Carl Jobling got control of the ball when Jez Mellon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Darius Pickard kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Jez Mellon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Carl Jobling made a huge save. Carl Jobling made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Jez Mellon sent off a good shot on target. Lenny Bannatyne charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristopher Darko was the one to do the kick off. Shane Walton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Jobling having to interfere. Simon Aspinall hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Kurczaki Bradford FC's goalkeeper Malcolm Durkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conan Swallow. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conan Swallow got free with Malcolm Durkin in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kristopher Darko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Malcolm Durkin having to make a save. Conan Swallow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Durkin having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Kristopher Darko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Durkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kev Santos in the 75th minute of play forced Thurlaston AFC's goalkeeper Carl Jobling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurczaki Bradford FC's Malcolm Durkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Kurczaki Bradford FC from getting a goal against them. If Kristopher Darko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Thurlaston AFC's Simon Aspinall dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Kurczaki Bradford FC's zone, Conan Swallow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcolm Durkin came out of the goal and Conan Swallow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the match, Kurczaki Bradford FC's goalkeeper Malcolm Durkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conan Swallow. Kurczaki Bradford FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Thurlaston AFC had controlled the match.
